How do I create my Ohrny account and get started?

You create an Ohrny account with an email address or phone number, a handle you choose and your date of birth; your real name is never shown to anyone.

Steps

1. Download Ohrny from the App Store or Google Play and open it.
2. Tap Sign up and choose Email or Phone.
3. Enter the code we send you to confirm it is really you.
4. Choose a handle. This is the name other people see, so it does not have to be your real name, and we recommend that it is not.
5. Enter your date of birth. Ohrny is for adults only, so you must be 18 or older to continue.
6. Add your photos. They stay blurred for everyone until you decide to reveal them inside a chat.
7. Answer a few profile prompts and tell us what you are looking for. You can change all of this later.

That is it. You land in the deck and can start browsing right away.

Good to know

• Your handle is what people see everywhere in the app: in the deck, in chats and in the Likes You tab. Your real name is never shown.
• Your email address or phone number is only used to sign in and to reach you about your account. It never appears on your profile.
• Photos are blurred by default for everyone on Ohrny, not just for you. People see your blurred photos in the deck and only see the clear versions after a mutual reveal in a chat.
• Your exact date of birth is never shown. Your age only appears after a mutual reveal, and Plus members can keep it hidden even then.
• You can change your email address or handle at any time under Settings → Account.
• Want the Verified badge? You can take the selfie right after sign-up or later from your profile. It is optional.

If something goes wrong

• No code arrives: check your spam folder, make sure the number or address is correct, and request a new code.
• You are told you are not old enough: Ohrny is only for adults 18 and over. If you entered a wrong date of birth by mistake, write to support@ohrny.com.
• You already have an account with that email or phone: tap Log in instead and use the same email address or phone number.
