What does incognito browsing do and how do I turn it on?
Updated 26 September 2026
Incognito browsing means you appear in the deck only to people you have liked, and looking at a profile leaves no trace; it is included in Ohrny Plus and Platin.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Incognito.
- Turn on Incognito browsing.
- Browse the deck as usual.
You can turn it off again at any time in the same place.
What changes with incognito on
- You are hidden from the deck. People do not see your profile unless you have liked them first.
- When you like someone, you appear in their deck and in their Likes You tab as normal. If they like you back, you match and can chat.
- Viewing a profile leaves no trace. The other person never learns that you looked.
- Everything else works as before: your matches, chats and calls are unaffected.
What incognito does not do
- It does not hide you from people you have already matched with.
- It does not stop people you have liked from seeing you. That is by design, otherwise you could never match.
- It does not change your photo blur. Photos are blurred for everyone anyway until a mutual reveal.
- It does not block specific people. Use Block for that, or block your phone contacts with Platin.
Good to know
- Incognito is useful if you want to be choosy about who even knows you are on Ohrny. Only the people you pick get to see you.
- Because you are invisible until you like someone, you will get fewer incoming likes while it is on. That is the trade-off.
- Incognito and Boost do not mix well. A Boost puts you at the top of the deck, but with incognito on you are only shown to people you liked.
- If your Plus subscription ends, incognito switches off and you appear in the deck again.
