How do I hide my age and distance from other people?
Updated 26 September 2026
Your age and distance are hidden from everyone until a mutual reveal, and with Ohrny Plus you can keep them hidden permanently under Settings → Privacy.
How it works by default
- In the deck, your age and distance are not shown. People see your handle, blurred photos and prompts.
- After both of you tap I'm ready in a chat, your photos, age and distance are revealed to each other at the same time.
- If you re-blur, age and distance go back to hidden for that person.
So without any settings, nobody learns your age or how far away you are until you decide to reveal yourself to them.
Steps to hide them permanently
This needs Ohrny Plus or Platin.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Turn on Hide age.
- Turn on Hide distance.
From now on, your age and distance stay hidden even after a mutual reveal. Your photos are still revealed as usual.
Good to know
- Hiding your age does not change how you are matched. Your age is still used for other people's age filters, so you keep appearing in the right decks. It is just not displayed.
- Hiding your distance does not change your discovery radius either. Your distance setting under Settings → Discovery still decides who you see.
- You can turn either setting on or off separately. Some people hide only distance, for example.
- Your date of birth is never shown to anyone, with or without this setting. Only your age can be shown, and only after a reveal.
- Your exact location is never shown. Distance is always a rough figure, never a map position.
- If your Plus subscription ends, the two settings switch off and your age and distance follow the normal reveal rules again.
- Want to browse without being seen at all? That is incognito browsing, a separate Plus setting.
