What are Intent modes like Tonight and Slow?
Updated 26 September 2026
Intent modes let you join a group of people who want the same thing right now: for 24 hours you see only people in the same mode, and they see only you and each other.
The modes
- Tonight: you want to meet today.
- This week: you are open to meeting in the next few days.
- Slow: you prefer to take your time and talk first.
- Open: you are open to different outcomes and want to see where it goes.
- Monogamish: you are in or open to a non-exclusive arrangement and want to meet people who feel the same.
You can be in one mode at a time.
Steps
- Open the deck and tap Intent at the top.
- Choose a mode.
- Tap Join. You are in the mode for 24 hours.
- Browse as usual. Everyone in your deck is in the same mode.
To leave early, tap Intent again and choose Leave. After 24 hours the mode ends by itself and your normal deck comes back.
Joining a mode requires Ohrny Plus or Platin.
Good to know
- Your mode is visible to the people who see you while you are in it, because they are in the same mode. It is not shown on your profile afterwards.
- Your filters still apply inside a mode. Age, distance and who you want to see work as usual.
- Matches made inside a mode stay after the mode ends. Chats are not affected.
- A mode is small on purpose. If your deck runs out, widen your distance or come back later when more people have joined.
- Intent modes are about expectations, not obligations. Someone in Tonight is not agreeing to anything by joining. The usual safety advice applies exactly as it always does.
- Travel mode and Intent modes work together: join a mode, drop a pin, and you see people in that mode around the pin.
